Q. Who organizes Art Runway?
A. Toyomi Dubai is an artist known for her concept Yin-Yang Art®. She is not a gallery or agency. As a creator herself, she produces “living art” experiences in collaboration with artists from around the world.
Q. When and where is Art Runway held?
A. In 2025, events are scheduled in Shiga (May), Tokyo (July), and again in Tokyo (November). Future plans include expanding across Japan and abroad.
Q. Who can participate in Art Runway?
A. There are two types of Art Runway: PUBLIC and VIP.
- PUBLIC Art Runway is open to anyone who identifies as an artist.
Painters, photographers, calligraphers, crafters, digital creators, and more — even chefs, farmers, or researchers who see their work as a form of art are warmly welcomed. - VIP Art Runway is for professionals who are dedicated to pursuing their expression on a deeper level.
Q. I’m a 3D artist. Can I still join?
A. Absolutely! However, Art Runway is designed around artists walking with flat artworks.
So, 3D artists are encouraged to participate by converting their works into photo panels. For example:
- Patissiers: panel with a photo of your sweets
- Ceramicists: panel with a photo of your pottery
- Fashion designers: panel with a photo of your apparel
- Farmers: panel with a photo of your produce
Q. How can I apply to join?
A. Call-for-entry announcements are posted on our official website and social media. Be sure to follow us!
Q. I’ve never walked on a red carpet. Is that okay?
A. No problem at all! No walking experience or training is necessary.
Just walk in your own way and express your life with your art.
Artists using wheelchairs or those needing walking support are also welcome.
Please bring your own caregiver if needed, as the organizers cannot provide assistance.
We strive to make this a safe and empowering stage for all creators.
Q. Can I attend as an audience member?
A. Yes! Audience admission may vary — some events are free, others ticketed.
Details will be announced via our official website and SNS. Reservations may be required if seating is limited.
Q. Can artists from overseas join?
A. Yes! International artists are welcome.
If it’s difficult to bring your artwork physically, we can create a panel on your behalf using submitted data.
Please contact us in advance for overseas participation.
Q. Can I take photos and post on social media?
A. In general, photography is allowed.
Please respect the privacy of others, and check each event’s specific guidelines on the day.
Q. Can I sell my works or display business cards and leaflets?
A. Yes, some events allow artists to sell postcards, prints, and more.
Note: There may be restrictions on booth availability and sales commissions.
Q. Will there be a photo book of Art Runway?
A. Yes! True to our motto, “It doesn’t end with the walk,” every Art Runway becomes an official photo book.
